Please can I remove the 65 metal staples?

With JJ’s operation scheduled for Wednesday, 3rd August 2022, there was no time to worry or even contemplate the enormity of the procedure. By the following Monday, he was already back home, leaving family and friends in shock and awe. Despite being warned about potential difficulties with walking and speaking, JJ’s determination to recover quickly was evident when he refused the hospital wheelchair and made his way to the car unaided.

As JJ’s recovery progressed, the nurse at the GP surgery removed 65 metal staples holding his skull together, she expressed huge satisfaction at how easily they came out. Although eager to try the staple remover myself, JJ declined my offer, leaving me itching to have a go.

Initially, JJ’s steps were unsteady, and he could only manage a short distance. However, his progress was swift, and within two weeks, he could easily complete a 2.6-mile circuit around Tallington Lakes. His rapid recovery and unwavering determination left the neighbours astounded and inspired.

JJ’s ultimate goal was to return to the golf course, and just six weeks later, he was back on the range, hitting a straight ball.
