My 15 Minutes Of Fame

The movies came to Tallington Lakes.

A few months after the successful operation to remove my brain tumour, I made a special visit to Specsavers in Stamford to say thank you to Neil Macdonald, the Optometrist Director. Without his expert eye examination and referral to Peterborough Hospital I believe that I would not be alive today!

I happily agreed to his request that their publicity team get in touch and I wrote a summary of my story for publication.

In January I found that my story was on the front page of the Rutland & Stamford Mercury. A few days later my story was published in the Express, MSN.com, The Bristol Post, and the New York Post. Yes, my story even made it to the USA.

The Specsavers publicity team then came to our lodge to make a film of my story in January. It was amazing to have a film crew in our home.  Several hours of footage were condensed down into their video.
